When AI Is the Wrong Tool

Module 2 of 3

Case lab

Customer, hiring, finance and people scenarios.

Work real scenarios rather than abstractions. Screening job applicants. Deciding which customers get a retention offer. Drafting a redundancy letter. Flagging expense claims for review. Answering a complaint about a bereavement.

The useful answer is rarely a flat yes or no — it is usually a line drawn part-way through the process. AI drafts and a person sends. AI flags and a person decides. AI summarises the file and a person reads the file anyway. Learning where to draw that line, case by case, is the skill.

Takeaway

The answer is usually a line inside the process, not a yes or no about the whole of it.
