1. Who we are

CareerGateway is an independent overseas education advisory operated by a United States limited liability company. We provide career guidance to Indian families considering overseas education. Contact us at contact@careergateway.world.

2. What information we collect

Through the assessment form on our website, we collect: your name, email, phone number, role (student or parent), city, academic information (current class, board, stream, percentage, strong subjects, IELTS/TOEFL/PTE scores, GRE/GMAT scores, backlogs, work experience), your interests and career goals, preferred countries, annual budget range, communication-language preference, and any optional notes you share.

We also collect routine technical information when you visit our website: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and similar data needed to operate the service securely. If you consent via our cookie banner, we additionally use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to understand how visitors find and use the site.

3. Why we collect it

To understand your situation and provide relevant overseas education guidance; to compute your country-match scores; to schedule your consultation calls; to send you scheduling and follow-up communications via WhatsApp, email, and SMS; to maintain the security and integrity of our service.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the third-party service providers we use to operate the platform:

• Supabase (United States) — primary data storage
• Stripe (United States) — payment processing
• Cal.com (United States) — scheduling
• Twilio (United States) — WhatsApp and SMS delivery
• Resend (United States) — transactional email delivery
• Vercel (United States) — application hosting
• Google Analytics 4 — analytics, only if you consent
• Meta Pixel — advertising analytics, only if you consent

Each of these providers is contractually bound to use your data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. How long we keep it

We retain assessment records for up to 5 years from your last interaction with us. If you request deletion, we will comply within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise any of these, email contact@careergateway.world and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

We commonly provide guidance to families with minor children. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent on your behalf. We will not knowingly collect data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

8. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses essential cookies necessary for the site to function. With your consent via our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel cookies for analytics and advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies and revisiting the site.

9. Indian residents — DPDP Act 2023

If you are a resident of India, we process your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. The basis for processing is your consent given at the time of assessment submission and our legitimate interest in providing the service you requested.
