Verification

Sources will disagree. Two market-size figures differing by a factor of three usually means they defined the market differently, and the definition is more informative than either number. Trace disagreements back to definitions, dates and methods before assuming one side is wrong.

Some conflicts will not resolve, and some questions will have no adequate source at all. Record those explicitly. A report with a clearly stated uncertainty section is more useful — and far more credible — than one that has quietly smoothed the awkward parts out.
