Writing a bullet that shows a result

Most bullets describe duties: "responsible for the society's social media accounts". A duty tells the reader what you were handed, not what you did with it. The version that lands names the action, the scale and what changed: "ran three society accounts; grew the mailing list from 90 to 400 across two terms".

Numbers do most of the work here, and you almost always have some — how many, how often, how long, how much faster. Where you genuinely cannot find one, name the outcome anyway: what existed afterwards that did not exist before. If nothing changed, the bullet is probably not worth its line.
