Planning a transfer before you enrol

If a transfer is even possible in your plans, prepare from the first week. Keep every module description and syllabus exactly as issued — institutions revise them, and the version you actually studied can become hard to obtain later. Keep marked work. Keep the transcript current.

Then ask the receiving institution before you commit, in writing, and get the answer in writing. Many publish articulation agreements — pre-agreed mappings with named partner institutions — which turn the whole question from a judgement call into a published rule. If one exists for your route, it is worth a great deal.
