Broad early-stage modules travel best: foundational mathematics, introductory economics, academic writing, general science. They look similar everywhere and map easily. Specialist later-stage modules travel worst, because they are built on one institution's particular sequence and frequently have no counterpart anywhere else.

Professional and regulated programmes are hardest of all, since an accreditation body specifies the sequence. And nearly every institution sets its own minimum — commonly a third to a half of the whole award — that must be studied with them regardless of what you bring with you.
