Three better numbers

First: graduate outcomes — what share are in relevant work or further study within a year, and where do they publish that number. Second: the student-to-staff ratio, which is a decent proxy for whether anyone will know your name. Third: total cost of attendance versus the realistic starting salary in that field, in that country.

None of these are glamorous, and all three predict your experience better than a position on a list.
