The questions to send back before you sign

You are allowed to ask, and asking is ordinary. The useful ones are narrow: does this condition refer to the overall result or to one component; what date do you actually need the document by, as against the date printed; is the deposit refundable if a condition is not met; what happens if I come in one grade below.

Send them as one short email to the admissions contact named on the letter, and keep the reply. If something you were told on a call matters, write back summarising it — "just to confirm what we discussed" — so there is a record. Not because anyone is acting in bad faith, but because the person you spoke to in June will not be the person holding your file in August.
