Give finishing its own slot rather than hoping it happens: a specific session for the last ten per cent, on a date, with the definition of done in front of you. Treat it as a different kind of work from the making, because it is.

Two things help. A checklist, so the tidying is mechanical rather than a series of judgements made while tired. And a person expecting it on a date, because the last ten per cent responds to somebody waiting far better than it responds to intention.
