What you do in the first three months sets how people treat you for years. Learn the systems fast, ask questions in the first fortnight while it is still free to ask, and finish something small and visible early.

Then keep a private record of what you actually did and what it changed. Nobody else will keep it, and in twelve months it is the material for your review, your next application, and your six interview stories.
