Which employers still ask, and which stopped

The blanket assumption that online is looked down on is out of date. The blanket assumption that nobody cares at all is also wrong. What most employers actually look at is the institution rather than the delivery mode — and most transcripts and certificates do not state the mode anywhere on them.

Where it does still come up is in fields with a practical registration requirement, or where a particular employer has a stated policy. That is checkable in an afternoon: read the professional body's requirements, and look at where people currently doing the job actually studied. Check rather than assume, in either direction.
