Why it matters later, not now

Accreditation almost never causes a problem while you are studying. It causes the problem afterwards, at the moment you apply for professional registration, or apply for a postgraduate course, or ask an employer in another country to evaluate your transcript.

That is the trap: the cost of getting this wrong is invisible for three years and then total. Fifteen minutes of checking now is the cheapest insurance in the whole process.
